1. Who we are
East Tennessee Exterior Connect (“we,” “us”) is a consultation and referral service. East Tennessee Exterior Connect is operated by Ryan Ledford (sole proprietor), Powell, TN. We help homeowners within about 50 miles of Knoxville, TN request a free exterior consultation for roofing, siding, windows, exterior doors and gutters. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through etnexteriorconnect.com and our text messages, how we use it, and the choices you have.
2. Information we collect
We collect only the information you give us and a few details about how you reached our site:
- Contact details: your name, mobile phone number and email address.
- Project details: the project types you select, whether you own the home, your street address and ZIP code, your timeline, your preferred appointment days and times, and any notes you add.
- Referral details (referral page only): if you refer someone, the name, phone number and other details you choose to share about that person.
- Consent records: whether you checked the consent box, the date and time you submitted the form, and the page you used.
- Campaign information: if you arrived from an ad or printed piece, the tracking tags in the link (for example, utm_source and utm_campaign).
- Messages: the text messages and emails you exchange with us, including opt-out (STOP) and help (HELP) requests.
3. How we use your information
- To respond to your request and contact you about your free exterior consultation.
- To schedule, confirm, remind you about and reschedule your appointment by call, text message or email.
- To answer your questions and keep records of our conversations and of your consent and opt-out choices.
- To understand which ads or printed materials led to your request.
- To comply with the law and protect against fraud or misuse.
Service providers. We use service providers to run our website, forms, email and text messaging (for example, Netlify to host this website, Google Workspace for email and for storing form submissions, and Twilio for text messages). They process your information only to provide those services to us and are not permitted to use it for their own marketing.
4. When we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as described here:
- Service providers described in Section 3, to operate our services.
- Contractor: installation work is performed by an independent licensed contractor. If you decide to move forward with a project, we share the project details needed for that work (such as your name, the property address and the project details) with that contractor so they can prepare and complete the project you requested. Your mobile number and SMS opt-in consent are never shared for marketing purposes, as stated in Section 5.
- Legal reasons: when required by law, subpoena or court order, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.
5. Text messaging (SMS) privacy
We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
Mobile phone numbers and text messaging opt-in consent collected through our forms will not be shared with any third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. The only exception is the service providers that deliver our text messages (such as our SMS provider), which process your number solely to send and receive our messages.
- What you will receive: texts from East Tennessee Exterior Connect about your consultation request, such as confirming we received it, scheduling questions, appointment confirmations, reminders and rescheduling.
- Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
- Opt out at any time by replying STOP. Reply HELP for help, or email scheduling@etnexteriorconnect.com.
- Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchase.

6. How long we keep information
We keep your information for as long as needed to respond to your request, schedule and follow up on your consultation, and keep records of your consent and opt-out choices, and as required by law. You can ask us to delete your information at any time (see Section 9). We may keep a record of an opt-out so we can honor it.
7. Cookies and tracking
Our pages read the tracking tags in the link you used (for example, utm_source) and include them with your form submission so we know which ad or printed piece you responded to. If we add advertising or analytics tools in the future, we will update this policy to describe them.
8. Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information. No method of storing or sending information over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your choices
- Text messages: reply STOP to any message to opt out.
- Email: reply to any email and ask us to stop, or write to scheduling@etnexteriorconnect.com.
- Access, correction or deletion: email us and we will respond to your request.
10. Children
Our services are intended for adult homeowners. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
11. Changes to this policy
If we change this Privacy Policy, we will post the updated version on this page and update the effective date above.
